Occurrence & Production
It mainly forms in ancient marine evaporite deposits, often associated with halite, carnallite, polyhalite, and anhydrite. Major deposits are found in Germany (Stassfurt), Russia, the western US, etc. It is mined from deep underground ancient ocean - derived sedimentary layers, then processed into fine powder or granules for different uses.

Agriculture: It is a premium Mg - S fertilizer, suitable for all soil pH levels. It can be used as a base fertilizer, top - dressing, or for blending with other fertilizers.
