• Common Molecular Formulas: Heptahydrate (FeSO₄·7H₂O, most prevalent); Monohydrate (FeSO₄·H₂O)

• Appearance: Heptahydrate: Bluish-green crystals; Monohydrate: Grayish-white powder

• Iron Content: Heptahydrate: ~19-20%; Monohydrate: ~30%

• Solubility: Highly soluble in water (1g/1.5ml), nearly insoluble in ethanol

• PH Value: Aqueous solution is acidic

Characteristics and Application

1. Core Function: Iron Fertilizer

• Promotes Chlorophyll Synthesis: Treats iron deficiency chlorosis (yellowing leaves) in plants

• Enhances Photosynthesis: Improves nutrient absorption efficiency and increases crop yield

• Suitable Crops: Citrus, grapes, fruit trees, vegetables, lawns, ornamental plants

2. Soil Amendment

• Lowers pH Value: Ideal for alkaline soils, enhances availability of iron and other nutrients

• Application Rate: 1.3-2.7kg per 30㎡ to reduce soil pH by 1 unit

• Improves Soil Structure: Facilitates organic matter decomposition and boosts microbial activity

3. Other Agricultural Uses

• Insecticide/Fungicide: Controls wheat bunt, apple/pear scab, and fruit tree canker

• Weed/Moss Control: Eliminates moss on lawns and lichens on tree trunks
