Application
✅ Agricultural Application (Core Usage)
It is a universal nitrogen fertilizer suitable for various crops (grain, cotton, fruits, vegetables, etc.) and soils. It can be used as base fertilizer, topdressing and foliar fertilizer. The foliar application has fast absorption speed and obvious effect on crop growth promotion and yield increase. After applying to soil, urea is decomposed into ammonium nitrogen by urease, which is then absorbed and utilized by crop roots; the conversion speed is closely related to soil temperature (faster in warm soil, slower in low temperature). It can also be processed into urea-formaldehyde slow-release fertilizer to improve nitrogen utilization rate and reduce nutrient loss.
✅ Other Applications
Industry: Used to produce urea-formaldehyde resin (for adhesives, coatings, wood products), applied in diesel vehicle exhaust treatment (convert harmful nitrogen oxides into nitrogen and water), and raw material for nitrogen carbide materials and explosives.
Medicine: Served as keratolytic agent and humectant for skin diseases, dehydrant for reducing intracranial pressure and intraocular pressure, and labeled urea for Helicobacter pylori diagnosis.
Animal Husbandry: Non-protein nitrogen supplement for ruminants (cattle, sheep), converted into amino acids by rumen microorganisms to save feed cost.
